Wi-Fi for iOS

To set up the Eduroam Wi-Fi on iOS, it is not enough to simply connect to the network and enter your username and password. The process for setting up the nationwide university Wi-Fi on iOS is described in the following article.

Delete Profile

If you have used Eduroam (HWR WiFi) on your current device in the past, first remove the old Eduroam profile by following these steps.

#01 Open the Settings and go to General.
#02 Now open VPN & Device Management.
#03 Select the Eduroam profile.
#04 Confirm by tapping Remove Profile.
#05 Confirm by tapping Remove.

install geteduroam and set it up

To set up Eduroam, download the new configuration profile for iOS using the following link.

#01 To do this, please press the blue button labeled “eduroam.“
#02 Confirm the download by tapping “Next.“
#03 Tap “Allow” to set up the profile on your phone.
#04 Go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management and select the Eduroam profile to install.
#05 Now tap on “Install.“
#06 Tap “Install” again.
#07 If prompted, enter your unlock code and confirm the setup by tapping “Install” again.
#08 Now enter your username in the following format:
username@hwr-berlin.de (without “stud.”).
#09 Now enter the password for your account.
Note: This is the same password you use for Moodle, etc.
#10 The profile is now installed, and you can tap “Done.“
