In our ticket system, a range of forms and contact options are available to help you resolve your concerns as quickly as possible. To use the applications and forms, as well as the ticket system, you must be connected to the university network (LAN) with your computer. Outside the university and in the eduroam Wi-Fi, you must first establish an active VPN connection.
The following applications and forms are submitted through the IT ticket system of HWR Berlin:
- Application for an HWR account for a student assistant/intern
- Application for an HWR account for a guest/secondary account for full-time faculty
- Application for the new setup or modification of a telephone line
Log in there with your HWR account and select the appropriate ticket template. Please also take note of the subsequent instructions.
Notes for guests
An HWR account for a guest must be requested by an HWR employee (host). Guests of HWR are individuals who, in cooperation and under the supervision of the host, stay at HWR Berlin for study or research purposes for a limited period (max. 4 weeks) and wish to use the IT systems. An email address is generally not part of a guest account. The guest application is also to be used for secondary accounts for full-time faculty (each max. 1 year), but not for adjunct lecturers and guest students, who receive account data through automated processes, nor for visitor groups that require only Wi-Fi access.
Notes for student assistants
An HWR account for a student assistant/intern must be requested by the supervisor, with a term limit based on the contract duration. In the case of extending an existing account, a renewal application using the same form should be submitted in a timely manner to prevent automatic deactivation of the account. The IT department should be informed in case of early departure to ensure the account is deactivated.
Notes on telephony
Applications for new setups or changes to a telephone line must be submitted by the respective supervisor through the aforementioned forms in the ticket system.
